It takes the place of the Dual pistols from all other timelines. Out of the three bows I use the Compound bow.
You can acquire gold weapons for your Shadow of the Tomb Raider playthrough. Its slow but I like the power and with the two-shot skill I can still down enemies quickly if I miss with my headshots. The Recurve Bow is pretty good when fully upgraded. The bow I like to use is the Viper Bite Bow but you cant get that until NG. Just started to get back into this game and play all the DLC which new bows do you prefer. Bows within Shadow of the Tomb Raider come in all different varieties. Not really relevant when specifically talking about the in game versions but in real life Compound Bows. However acquiring them is not possible inside the game itself. Which she either finds makes or is given. Im sort of OCD and I like charge my shots even if theyre right next to me lol I once got blasted point-blank by a shotgun mook and saw Lara get blown away with a hilarious ragdoll. Even on standard difficulty combat isnt that hard if you stay out of sight more often. The bow is also initially used by Lara for melee purposes with the bow itself being used to strangle enemies and the arrows being used to. The Warrior tree tends to be the least necessary as you usually dont want to be in drawn-out combat in this game. In general exploration Seeker and stealth Scavenger skills tend to be the most helpful to pick.
