Of course familiarity goes a long way and I don't have that with Maschine yet.

There's a lot you can do with Battery that frankly I'm dumfounded isn't implemented into Maschine as it seems better suited for it. My previous setup which I really liked was using an MPC2kXL as sequencer with Battery handling sample mapping, FX, etc. Of course I haven't even made my way to actually using the sequencer yet so hopefully there's some good times around the corner but so far I've had more frustration than fun with this unit. Lack of timestretching is just ridiculous and hard to believe - even their dedicated drum program Battery (which I really like btw does this). Frequently used params like pad polyphony and tuning / FX aren't exactly obvious. That's valuable time wasted in my eyes.Ī lot of things don't seem so intuitive either.

And now for any future samples I add to my library - which is a pretty much a daily routine - now I get the pleasure of having to manage them all twice. I spent about 6 hours yesterday importing and organizing my sample library that didn't need reorganizing to begin with. There's a lot of things I'm just now finding out that it can't do.some of which just seem blatantly obvious for an instrument of this nature.such as browse my sample library out of the box. I've only played with Maschine a couple days - but so far it hasn't lived up to my expectations.

I was a bit frustrated when I chimed in there. Click to expand.Yeah - that's what I meant.
